Best AI girlfriend apps with images, test driven

Almost every AI girlfriend app now makes pictures, and most make short videos too. The difference is what each picture costs and what you are allowed to make. On paper, OurDream AI and Secrets AI publish per-image prices, OurDream AI and Swipey AI list videos up to 60 seconds, and all the apps below ban images of real people in writing. Everything here is from official pages checked on Oct 25, 2026.

This is a test drive guide. I read pricing, help and policy pages; I have not generated images on these apps, so I can’t tell you which one looks best. That waits for a crash test.

How I picked these (on paper)

Every app on this page had to clear these bars on its own official pages:

• It generates images, and ideally video, as a named feature.
• It has a written rule against images of real people or deepfakes. This is a hard line on this site. An image generator without one is a deepfake tool waiting to happen.
• It publishes a plan price. Per-image costs are a bonus; only a few publish them.

Apps with affiliate programs come first where the facts support it, and I say when another app fits a need better. Each app carries a paper score from ten checks against its official pages until a paid crash test replaces it. The method is on How we test.

The apps with images

Candy.ai

Candy.ai’s subscription page lists “Generate 18+ Images” and “Generate 18+ Videos” on Premium, with 100 tokens a month and top-ups available. It does not publish how many tokens an image or a video costs, and its homepage says more detailed companions use more tokens. Its Community Guidelines ban “images that resemble real persons”, non-consensual intimate imagery and impersonation. Premium starts at EUR 3.99 a month on the 12-month plan (EUR 47.88 a year), a promotional EUR price as listed on Oct 25, 2026. See the Candy.ai test drive.

OurDream AI

OurDream AI has the most detailed public price list I found. Its help center lists an in-chat image at 5 dreamcoins, standard generation at 10 coins for 2 images, editing at 10 or 20 coins depending on the model, and video at 100 coins per 5 seconds up to 60 seconds (1,200 coins). A subscription costs $19.99 a month or $9.99 a month billed $119.88 a year and includes 1,000 dreamcoins a month; images and video need a subscription. It bans content resembling real people and does not allow uploading reference photos “due to possible deepfakes”. Read the OurDream AI test drive.

Secrets AI

Secrets AI’s wiki prices images at 50 Moments each, 100 at 2K, and 50 per edit, with edits limited to SFW images. Video is Premium and Ultimate only and costs from 600 Moments for a fixed 8-second clip to 1,200 Moments per 5 seconds on the Cinematic model; the longest model goes to 30 seconds. Premium is $19.99 a month (or $109.99 a year) with 8,000 Moments, which is 160 standard images on paper. File uploads are not supported, and a privacy check flags references that appear to show a real person. Details on the Secrets AI test drive.

Lovescape

Lovescape is built around generation: Premium includes image and video generation, including image-to-video, and 600 chips a month. Its help center says every image shows its chip cost before you generate, but no per-image cost is published, and only active subscribers can buy chips. Premium is $19.99 a month, or $7.99 a month on the 12-month plan (billed $95.88), shown as discounted prices on Oct 25, 2026. Its terms ban companions that closely resemble celebrities, and the help center says “real-person replication is not supported”. See the Lovescape test drive.

GirlfriendGPT

GirlfriendGPT offers an image generator (including anime) and in-chat video, with 5-second custom videos on Premium and 10-second videos on Deluxe, per its plan copy. Paid plans include coins, 400 a month on Premium and 1,200 on Deluxe, but per-image costs are not published. The homepage FAQ lists Premium at $10 a month and Deluxe at $35 a month, which may be outdated. Its guidelines ban uploading images of others without consent and impersonation. Dream Companion

Dream Companion lists “Create images & videos” on Premium, with an image generator that keeps a consistent face across images and short video generation. Premium includes 100 Dream Coins a month; per-image costs and top-up prices are not published. The only price visible on Oct 25, 2026 was a sale figure of $0.19 a day on the yearly view. Its real-person rule is narrower than most here: it targets deceptive impersonation and requires consent for uploaded media. See the Dream Companion test drive.

Swipey AI

Swipey AI’s Premium lists character-consistent NSFW image generation and custom video scenes up to 60 seconds, at $7.99 a month billed monthly. That is the cheapest monthly price here for video on paper. The catch is Hearts: images and videos cost Hearts, and neither per-item costs nor pack prices are published. One Trustpilot reviewer cites 520 Hearts for $50, and another says images don’t keep requested traits. Its terms ban depicting any real, identifiable person without consent, and you can’t upload your own images. Details on the Swipey AI test drive.

Nectar AI

Nectar AI has a built-in image and video generator, and its FAQ says the free plan includes “a limited number of image generations”, with HD image and video on Premium. Plan prices sit behind a login, and official blog posts give conflicting figures, so I list none. Its FAQ bans characters based on recognizable real people, whether named or depicted by likeness, and its terms don’t allow image uploads in character creation. Read the Nectar AI test drive.

DreamGF

DreamGF generates photos on request in chat and has a short AI video series called Shorts. Premium includes 150 tokens a month, “remove blur” and a fetish generator; per-image token costs are not listed. Premium is $12.99 for the first month, then $25.98 a month, as a promotional price. Its terms say content made to resemble real individuals will be deleted, and it has a removal process for AI content resembling a real person. See the DreamGF test drive.

Promptchan: the better fit for image-first users

Promptchan has no affiliate deal with me, and if pictures matter more than chat, it fits better on paper. It is an image and video generator first, with styles, editing, a community gallery and a companion chat on the side. The free plan includes image creation with a daily Gem allowance; Plus is $14.99 a month with 100 Gems, and video with extend is on Pro at $33.99 a month. Per-image Gem costs are not published. Kindroid

Kindroid is a companion app, not a generator, but it is the only one here that publishes image pack prices: 50 selfie credits for $6.99 and 100 for $11.49 on the US App Store. Standard ($15.99 a month on the US App Store) adds daily selfie rewards, selfies, videos and group selfies. The free preview gives 5 selfies in total. Its legal page bans intimate images of a real person without consent, including AI-generated ones. See the Kindroid test drive.

How credits turn into pictures

Most “unlimited” plans are unlimited for text only. Pictures and video spend a separate balance, and that balance is where the real price sits.

Do the arithmetic before you pay. On published numbers, OurDream AI’s 1,000 monthly coins buy 200 in-chat images, and Secrets AI Premium’s 8,000 Moments buy 160 standard images. Video eats that fast: one 60-second OurDream video costs 1,200 coins, more than a month’s allowance.

Allowances don’t always roll over. Secrets AI’s monthly Moments reset each month, while bought Moments don’t expire. Lovescape’s chips don’t expire. Candy.ai’s tokens disappear when the subscription ends.

Failed generations. Secrets AI says failed generations refund Moments automatically. Most others don’t say. Reviewers of several apps, including Secrets AI, Dream Companion and GirlfriendGPT, complain on Trustpilot that images don’t follow prompts, which matters when every retry costs credits.

Top-ups need a subscription. Secrets AI, OurDream AI and Lovescape only sell extra credits to subscribers.

Real-person and deepfake rules

This is the part I care about most. Every app above bans sexual images of real, identifiable people in writing, but the rules differ in strength:

• Strongest on paper: OurDream AI, Secrets AI and Swipey AI don’t let you upload reference photos at all, which closes the most obvious deepfake route. Secrets AI also runs a privacy check that flags references showing a real person.
• Explicit bans: Candy.ai, Promptchan, Nectar AI, Kindroid and DreamGF name real-person imagery or deepfakes directly.
• Narrower: Dream Companion targets deceptive impersonation and requires consent for uploaded media. Lovescape bans celebrity lookalikes and says real-person replication is not supported.

None of this proves enforcement. It only tells you what the company has promised in writing.

Left off on purpose

These make images but are not recommended, because of a missing deepfake rule or a breach:

• SoulGen: prices are clear (1 credit per character image, 15 credits per 5 seconds of video), but its terms don’t name deepfakes or celebrities and don’t require users to be 18+.
• DarLink AI: images cost 2 tokens and video 20 tokens on every plan, but I found no explicit rule against sexual imagery of real people, and it sells influencer-based personas.
• Kupid AI: 25 photos and 8 videos a week on Pro, but no mention of real people or deepfakes in its terms.
• Nomi: real-time selfies and art, but no specific deepfake or real-person clause.
• Muah AI: builds characters from uploaded images, and had a 2024 breach exposing about 1.9 million email addresses plus AI prompts, per Have I Been Pwned. Don’t use it.
