Privacy and safety

Age checks. Promptchan is 18+. No verification method is described; you represent that you meet the requirement.

Chat data. The Privacy Policy lists prompt and search data from public mode. It does not address chats, generated images, model training or selling data. It says personal data is not shared outside the organization except on the legal bases it lists. That leaves the biggest questions for an image generator unanswered.

Deletion. You can request access, correction or erasure through the support email. No self-service deletion is described, and data is kept “as long as necessary”.

Several negative reviews promote a specific competitor, and one reviewer claims the company offers benefits for reviews, which I could not verify. So treat the rating in both directions with caution.

Bugs and support. Negative reviewers report bugs, crashes and unresponsive support.
Extra charges. One reviewer complains that content and extended features cost extra Gems on top of a subscription, and that most features are lost when membership ends.
Filters and prompt adherence. Reviewers say long or specific prompts are not followed or trigger “policy violation” flags.

My take

On paper, Promptchan might suit you if you want images, video and companion chat in one place, and you want a service with an explicit ban on deepfakes and on depicting real people without consent. The free plan lets you try image generation and chat before paying.

What I would watch: the subscription is only part of the cost, because video and voice spend Gems and Gem pack prices are not public. Video is locked to the $33.99 Pro plan. The privacy policy says nothing about what happens to your chats and images. If refunds matter to you, avoid paying by crypto, which is final.
