Advertising disclosure
How we make money, and the rules that keep it away from our scores.
Affiliate links
Many “Visit site” buttons are affiliate links. If you sign up or pay after clicking one, the site may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra. These links carry rel="sponsored".
Paid placements
Some positions are sold to advertisers: the featured slot on the home page and a sponsored row above category rankings. Each one is marked Ad and sits outside the ranking.
What money can’t buy
- A score or a change to a score.
- A position inside a ranking.
- Removal of a negative point from a review.
- A listing for a site that fails our checks.
