To cancel Candy.ai, open your account settings and use the unsubscribe option. Per the terms of service, your Premium plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, then the account drops to the free version and you are not charged again. Cancelling does not delete your account or your chats: that is a separate request by email.
This guide is built from Candy.ai’s official terms of service, subscription page and privacy notice, checked on Oct 25, 2026. It is a test drive, so I have not cancelled a paid plan myself. Where the exact button names need checking inside a paid account, I have marked it. For the full picture of the service, see the Candy.ai test drive.
Before you cancel: three things to know
Cancelling stops the next payment, not the current one. The terms say your subscription stays active through the end of the current billing period and you are not charged for the next period (terms 10.1). You keep Premium until then.
Your tokens go when Premium goes. At the end of the paid period the account reverts to the free version, premium features stop, and “any remaining tokens in your account will expire and become unusable” (terms 10.2). Tokens do not carry over to a new subscription. If you have tokens left, use them before the period ends.
Cancelling is not deleting. Your account, characters and chat history stay after you cancel. Deleting them is a separate request, covered further down.
Step by step: cancel your Candy.ai subscription
The terms of service (section 10.1) say you cancel through Settings / Unsubscribe in your account, and that your subscription details (start date, end date and plan type) are under My Profile / Settings. The subscription page says the same in shorter form: “Cancel subscription at any time in settings.”
Here is that process as steps. The section names come from the terms; the exact on-screen labels need checking in a paid account.
- Sign in to Candy.ai in your browser, with the same account you subscribed with. There is no app store app, so this is done on the website or the home-screen web app.
- Open your profile and go to Settings.
- Find your subscription details. The terms say the start date, end date and plan type are shown here. Write down the end date: that is when Premium stops and the next charge would have happened.
- Use the unsubscribe or cancel option.
- Check that the cancellation went through. Look for a changed status on the subscription and a confirmation email.
- Keep a screenshot of the cancelled status with the date. If you are charged later, this is your evidence.
The terms also say autorenewal can be cancelled in your settings (section 9). Whether that is the same switch as unsubscribing or a separate one is not clear from the terms, so check that both show as off.
If you paid with Apple Pay or crypto
The subscription page shows Apple Pay, Visa and Mastercard, and the homepage lists crypto. Candy.ai is a website, not an App Store app, so an Apple Pay payment is not an Apple subscription. You cancel in Candy.ai’s settings, not in your iPhone’s subscription list.
For crypto, the terms do not describe how renewals work. If you paid that way, check the subscription page in settings for an end date.
When to cancel
Payment for a renewal is taken on the first day of the renewed period, per the terms (section 9). So cancel before the end date shown in your settings, not on it. I would leave at least a day of margin, since the terms do not say what time zone the renewal runs on.
Auto-renewal: what you agreed to
Every Premium plan renews automatically. The terms say so in plain words: “Subscriptions are set to renew automatically at the end of each subscription period.” The subscription page, checked Oct 25, 2026, shows the renewal for each plan (prices in EUR):
| Plan | First payment | Renews at |
|---|---|---|
| 12 months | EUR 47.88 | “Renews automatically for the same price and term” |
| 3 months | EUR 26.97 | “Renews automatically for the same price and term” |
| 1 month | EUR 9.99 | “Then renews monthly at EUR 13.99” |
Other renewal terms worth knowing:
- Renewals are charged to your default payment method unless you change it.
- If you set a backup payment method, it is charged when the default fails. If you are cancelling, a backup card is one more card that can be billed, so remove it too if the settings allow.
- Prices can change. The terms say increases are communicated before an auto-renewal at the new price.
Full price details, including what each plan costs over a year, are in Candy AI pricing.
Can you get a refund?
Cancelling does not give you money back for the current period. A refund is a separate request, and the rules (terms 10.4, revision dated September 22, 2026) are narrow.
Subscription refunds:
- Ask within 24 hours of the payment.
- Refused if you used more than 20 tokens.
- Card purchases only.
- Not available if the problem was on your side.
Token purchase refunds:
- Ask within 24 hours.
- Refused if you used any of the tokens.
- Card purchases only.
EU and UK users have a 14-day right to withdraw from the initial purchase without a reason, counted from the confirmation email. The refund is reduced by a prorated amount for services you already used. It applies to the first purchase only, not to renewals.
So if an annual renewal goes through that you forgot about, the 24-hour window is the one that matters, and the 14-day EU/UK right does not apply to it. Act on the same day you see the charge.
How to ask: email [email protected], which the terms give for support and withdrawals. Include:
- The email address on your Candy.ai account
- The date and amount of the charge
- The last four digits of the card
- A plain request: “Please refund this payment and cancel my subscription”
Note that a processed refund ends your premium access immediately (terms 10.2). That is fair enough, but it means you should not request one if you still want the rest of the period.
Deleting your account and chat data
There is no self-service delete button described in the privacy notice (last updated October 19, 2026) or the terms. Deletion is a request by email:
- [email protected] (the privacy team)
- [email protected] (the data protection officer)
- Post: EverAI Limited, 56 Central Business Centre, Triq Is-Soll, Santa Venera SVR 1833, Malta
- UK users can also contact the UK representative at [email protected]
The privacy notice says EverAI tries to respond to legitimate requests within one month, and complex ones may take longer.
What to write: ask for erasure of your account and all associated personal data, including chat history, created characters and generated images. Send it from the email address on the account. If you are in the EU or UK, you can say you are making the request under your right to erasure (GDPR Article 17, or the UK GDPR equivalent).
What may stay anyway. The privacy notice sets these retention periods:
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Account data | 3 years after your last activity (may be shortened to the later of 1 year after last activity or the end of a paid subscription), or deleted on request |
| Financial and transaction data | 10 years |
| Marketing data | Until you withdraw consent, or up to 2 years after your last interaction |
| Log files | 30 days |
Financial records are kept for 10 years regardless. And the privacy notice says some chat exchanges may be aggregated, anonymised or de-identified for product improvement and model training. Data that has already been de-identified may not be traceable back to you, so a deletion request may not remove it.
Cancel the subscription first, then ask for deletion. Deleting an account with an active plan is a good way to end up arguing about a renewal for an account that no longer exists.
If self-service deletion matters to you for your next service, OurDream AI and Secrets AI both describe a delete-account option in profile settings, as checked on Oct 25, 2026. More in Candy.ai alternatives.
Charged after cancelling? Do this
It happens with every subscription service: a cancellation that did not register, a backup card nobody remembered, a renewal that ran a few hours early. Here is the order I would go in.
1. Check what the charge is. Candy.ai charges appear as “EverAI” on your bank statement, according to the subscription page. Make sure the amount and date match a Candy.ai plan before you do anything else. Check whether you have a second account under another email.
2. Check your settings. Sign in and look at the subscription status. If it still shows active, cancel now so the next one does not follow, and screenshot it.
3. Email support the same day. Write to [email protected] with the charge date, amount, last four card digits, your account email and your cancellation screenshot or confirmation email. Ask for a refund and confirmation that the subscription is cancelled. Same day matters because of the 24-hour refund window. If the charge happened after a cancellation that was confirmed, say so clearly: that is a billing error, not a change of mind.
4. Give it reasonable time. The terms do not give a response time for billing emails. A few business days is fair. Keep everything in writing.
5. Then dispute with your bank or card issuer. If support does not answer or refuses a charge you had already cancelled, contact your card issuer and dispute it as a charge after cancellation. Send them the cancellation proof and your emails to support.
Know the consequence. The terms say filing a chargeback immediately cancels the subscription or purchase and revokes premium access and any remaining tokens from the moment it is filed (terms 10.2). The terms do not say whether the account itself is closed. If you are leaving anyway, that costs you little.
If you paid by crypto, a bank dispute is not available. Support is the only route.
6. Block future charges if needed. Your bank can usually block a specific merchant or issue a new card number. For future sign-ups, a separate card makes this much easier, as I explain in how to pay for adult sites privately.
Quick checklist
- Cancel in Settings before the end date shown on your subscription
- Use leftover tokens first, because they expire with Premium
- Screenshot the cancelled status
- Remove any backup payment method if you can
- Want money back: email [email protected] within 24 hours of the charge
- Want your data gone: email [email protected] or [email protected] after cancelling
- Charged anyway: support first, then your card issuer

FAQ
How do I cancel my Candy AI subscription?
Per the terms of service, go to Settings in your account and use the Unsubscribe option. Your subscription details, including the end date, are under My Profile / Settings. Premium stays active until the end of the paid period and you are not charged again.
Does Candy AI refund you if you cancel?
Not automatically. A refund is a separate request to [email protected], allowed only within 24 hours of payment, for card purchases, and if you used 20 tokens or fewer. EU and UK users have a 14-day withdrawal right on the first purchase only.
What happens to my tokens when I cancel Candy AI?
They expire. The terms say remaining tokens become unusable when the subscription ends and do not carry over to a new subscription.
Does cancelling Candy AI delete my account?
No. Your account and chats remain after cancelling. To delete them, email [email protected] or [email protected]. The privacy notice does not describe a self-service delete button, and financial records are kept for 10 years.
What if Candy AI charged me after I cancelled?
Email [email protected] the same day with the charge details and proof of cancellation. If that fails, dispute the charge with your card issuer. The terms say a chargeback immediately ends premium access and removes any remaining tokens.
