Short answer: on paper, Candy.ai is cheaper if you lock in its promotional 12-month plan, while OurDream AI publishes far more about what you actually get, from coin costs per video second to a delete button in your profile. Both are browser apps with chat, images, video and voice, and both have written rules against content of real people.
This is a test drive, not a crash test. I compared the official pricing, help and policy pages, checked on Oct 25, 2026, and I did not pay for either service. Where something only shows up after sign-up, I say so.

Pricing
The two services price in different currencies, so a straight comparison is rough. Candy.ai showed me EUR, probably because of my location. OurDream AI lists USD. I am not converting either, because exchange rates and local taxes would make any figure I gave you a guess.

All three plans include the same things: your own characters, 18+ images and video, unlimited text messages and 100 tokens a month. Token top-ups exist, but pack prices and the token cost of each image or video are not on the official pages I could read. Tokens expire when the subscription ends. The subscription page says you can cancel any time in settings, and the charge shows as “EverAI” on your statement.
The payment window also showed a EUR 9.79 bi-weekly and a EUR 5.6 weekly option that were not tied to a named plan. I am noting them, not relying on them.
OurDream AI
As listed in the official help center pricing article, checked on Oct 25, 2026. The live checkout page did not render for my tools, so these figures come from the help center rather than the checkout itself.

Neither plan is labelled as a promotion. Subscribers chat for 0 coins on standard models. Other actions have published costs:
- Genius or Lively Genius chat model: 1 coin per response
- In-chat image: 5 coins; standard images: 10 coins per 2 images
- Voice call: 50 coins a minute
- Video: 100 coins per 5 seconds, up to 60 seconds
- Creating a chatbot: 10 coins
Dreamcoin top-up pack prices were not on the official pages I found.
Refunds
Both are strict. Candy.ai’s terms allow a refund request within 24 hours of payment, refused if you used more than 20 tokens on a subscription or any tokens on a token purchase, and only for card payments. EU and UK buyers get a 14-day withdrawal right on the first purchase.
OurDream AI refuses refunds once more than 25% of a product has been used. Monthly subscriptions cannot be refunded once the coins are used up, while annual plans may qualify for a full or partial refund. Crypto payments are never refunded. A refund ends the subscription, removes unused coins and blurs your images and videos until you resubscribe. Requests go through the “Request Help” button on your profile.
Free plan
Both say “Join Free”. What that buys you is a different story.
- Candy.ai: free sign-up and a mention of a free trial on the homepage. The free limits are not published. Premium advertises unlimited text messages, which suggests the free plan is capped, but Candy.ai does not say so.
- OurDream AI: free sign-up, but free users pay 1 dreamcoin per chat message, and free coins are only handed out through referrals, contests and Discord events. Images, video and buying coins all need a subscription. On paper, the free plan is a look around, not a way to use the service.
At least OurDream AI tells you this in writing. Candy.ai leaves you to find out.

On paper these two are close relatives: browser apps that combine companion chat with media generation. The differences are in the detail OurDream AI publishes and Candy.ai does not.

Privacy and safety
Here is what each policy says, as read on Oct 25, 2026. Neither is private in the sense most people mean.

Both train on what you type, so write accordingly. The practical difference is deletion. OurDream AI gives you a button and a stated 24–48 hour window. Candy.ai asks you to email, and keeps account data for three years after your last activity.
On real people, both pass my bar. OurDream AI goes a step further by refusing photo uploads outright, which closes the most obvious route to a deepfake.
What users complain about
Not much I can report, and I would rather say that than pad it.
- Candy.ai: its Trustpilot profile has been removed by Trustpilot, so there are no reviews to read there. Reddit was not reachable by my research tools. I have no user complaints to report.
- OurDream AI: its Trustpilot profile has also been removed by Trustpilot, and Reddit was not reachable. The only complaint on record is from OurDream AI itself: its help center admits the content-flag system is “a bit too sensitive” and may flag safe content. That is an official admission, not a user review.
Two removed Trustpilot profiles in one comparison is worth noticing. It does not tell you whether the services are good or bad, only that the usual place to check is empty.
Who should pick which
On paper, and hedged accordingly:
- Pick Candy.ai if price is the main thing and you are happy to pay for a year upfront. The EUR 47.88 annual figure is the lowest on this page. Remember it is a promotion, shown in EUR, and the token costs per image or video are not published.
- Pick OurDream AI if you want to know what you are paying for before you pay. It publishes coin costs, a 60-second video limit and its deletion process, and it blocks photo uploads. You pay more for it: USD 119.88 a year or USD 19.99 a month.
- Skip both for now if you want a real free plan. OurDream AI’s free tier charges coins you mostly cannot get, and Candy.ai’s free limits are unpublished.
